Hapari sent me a great swimsuit to review earlier this month. I knew it wouldn’t be warm enough here in Minnesota to do an outdoor review yet, but I figured it would at least be nice enough for a few outdoor shots. Boy was I ever wrong.
That’s right, that’s SNOW I’m laying in. Also – other than adding a border and maybe cropping out a messy living room or something, I don’t edit or photoshop my pictures, so you guys get to see what a real mom looks like in a Hapari suit. I ain’t a model, yo, and I’m cool with that.
This isn’t my first Hapari swimsuit. I wore one of their cute tankinis last year on a few trips. I love the way they perform in the water. They fit well and provide good support for the girls, which is the main thing I look for in my swimwear. Of course, being cute is important, too, so I like that they offer lots of different styles and colors.
I actually ordered two different bottoms to go with my Sport Peruvian Tankini Top. The Sarong Bottoms give a good amount of coverage, but still have a high slit to add a little flirty sex appeal.
I love that if you haven’t gotten wet, this combination could actually pass for a cute summer outfit. I usually get ready quicker than my friends, so I’m able to go sit at the bar by the pool and wait for them without having to worry about packing a separate cover-up. One note of advice – I think the sarong bottoms run just slightly on the bigger size. I had to exchange mine after my original order, and it was totally a breeze. You just send back the item that didn’t fit (provided it’s still new & unused), then reorder the correct size. Their shipping is pretty fast, so it was hardly an inconvenience at all.
The Hot Short Bottoms, on the other hand, fit very true to size. They provide great coverage while still being flirty, and they DON’T ride up your butt, which is awesome. No one looks good trying to pick out a wedgie at the beach.
I’m not gonna lie – I also like the hot shorts because I think they make my legs look amazing when I wear them with a pair of high heels. You’re probably thinking that’s totally impractical for the pool, and you’re right. Since the hot shorts have a super smooth fit, I put a skirt on over them and then I’m ready for a night of dancing on the boardwalk.
